America's Got Talent (Season 2)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The second season of America's Got Talent is scheduled to premiere on NBC in the summer of 2007. As of December 2006, NBC has not announced any changes to the cast from its first season, which included host Regis Philbin and judges Piers Morgan, Brandy, and David Hasselhoff.
The show was originally announced to debut in January 2007, with a timeslot of Sunday nights at 8PM. However, the network has replaced it on the winter schedule with another reality talent show, Grease: You're The One That We Want. This move will keep the show out of indirect competition with American Idol, which airs in the same January-May timeframe that AGT was supposed to be competing in and has consistently been one of the highest rated shows on television. This change also will allow the show to have a standalone results show, which wouldn't have been possible on NBC's crowded winter and spring schedules.
