From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

America's Army's equipment overview. Every player starts the round with either one Rifle (m16 m4, etc) or one sniper rifle plus a pistol. Often, you will get a small number of grenades and, on some maps, night vision goggles and/or binoculars. A list of weaponry available follows:

  • Special Operations Weapons Sergeants:

  • US Stryker Armoured Personnel Carrier appears a Russian BTR-80 if on the other side. On the map SF Arctic, the Stryker's 50-caliber machine gun on the roof can be controlled by remote control from the inside, but the vehicle itself cannot be driven around.
  • US HMMWV, equipped with CROWS; either mount a M2 machine gun or Mk 19 Grenade Launcher

[edit] Weapons planned for future versions

  • TALON Robot. The robot will be a radio controlled machine similar looking to the World War II era Goliath, but rather than exploding it has special instruments such as for defusing a bomb or helping people trapped in dangerous locations. The TALON is probably confined to the US army version of America's Army, and not the public game.
  • Drivable Stryker-Overmatch, which may come as soon as version 3.0
