AmaZulu is a South African football (soccer) club based in the city of Durban. Mvela Golden League side Zulu Royals (renamed AmaZulu) bought out Dynamos in the 2006/07 pre-season for R30m and is automatically promoted to the Premier League. Experienced and well-travelled South African mentor Clive Barker was fired in late November 2006 because of poor results.
