Américo Brasiliense is a Brazilian city of the state of São Paulo. The population in 2004 is 32,504. The area is 132.832 km².
This city is also known as Cidade Doçura (that is, "sweetness city"), because its perimeter is surrounded by sugar cane. Its economy is based on the sugar cane industry, which is supported by cheap workmanship hands of emigrants of the northeasterns states of the country, like Rio Grande do Norte and Bahia.
A lot of people likes to go to a club named Caneco 90 to dance pagode on sunday nights, other likes to stay in the town hall's public squares or at the town hall's fast-food restaurant.
