Alton railway station
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Alton railway station is a railway station in the town of Alton, in the English county of Hampshire. The station is the terminus for two railway lines; the Alton Line which runs to Brookwood, and the Mid Hants Watercress Railway, which runs to Alresford.
As well as the two train lines, Alton is also a terminal for the "Rail-link" bus service which runs between the station and Liphook railway station via the town of Bordon. Plans to create a railway line along this route have been mooted.
