Altitude Sports and Entertainment
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Altitude Sports and Entertainment is a regional sports network that serves the Rocky Mountain region, specifically Denver. It officially launched on Sept. 4, 2004.
It was launched by Stan Kroenke, who owns the Denver Nuggets of the NBA, the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL, the Colorado Rapids of MLS, and the Colorado Mammoth of the NLL. Altitude features in-depth coverage of all four of these teams. Entertainment programming includes live theatre and music concerts.
Altitude is also home to Triple-A baseball (Colorado Springs Sky Sox) and the Colorado Eagles of the Central Hockey League.
Bill Owens, the current governor of Colorado, hosts a talk show on the network. Also in the Altitude lineup is a simulcast of a radio show co-hosted by veteran basketball referee Irv Brown.
