Alpha Chi Epsilon AXE

Alpha Chi Epsilon, better known as AXE, was originally formed by our 24 founding fathers on December 17th, 1982. We were the first Fraternity at Pace University, and will just celebrated our 23rd year as a close brotherhood. Many of our 250 plus alumni members are still in contact with all the active brothers.

Alpha Chi Epsilon was formed when Robert Tepedino, stood down from the fraternity, Sigma Zeta Chi, because of fraternal issues and decided to organize and start a fraternity. Rob Tepedino brought Joe Pinto, Freshman Class President, and Steve Price to the Student Affairs office to push the idea to them. This fraternity would be based on brotherhood, loyalty, respect and integrity, like no other fraternity to date. They started recruiting other members and on December 17, 1982 founded what is now known as the strongest brotherhood on campus, AXE. Here at Pace University we promote academic excellence as well as enjoying a great college experience. We have annual events such as our Medieval times event.

In years past we have won the Pace University incentive award, Greek Olympics, Most improved GPA, as well as the Deans meritorious award, which is the highest honor given by the dean. We also co-sponsor many events with our little sisters Alpha Lambda Sigma. Our campus involvement is un-matched. We actively support and raise funds for our philantropy, The Ronald McDonald House, as well as collect pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.

Our brothers chose us, we don’t choose you. The Brotherhood of AXE is a true brotherhood and stands out above all the rest. The closeness of our brothers is un-rivaled by any Fraternity on campus due to brotherhood, loyalty, respect and integrity, strengthened over our long history. These integral values and traditions passed on year after year, brother after brother ensure the long prosperous life of Alpha Chi Epsilon.
