Almeida (pron. IPA: [aɫ'mɐidɐ]) is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 518.0 km² and a total population of 7,784 inhabitants.
The municipality is composed of 29 parishes, and is located in the District of Guarda.
The present Mayor is António Baptista Ribeiro, elected by the Social Democratic Party.
The municipal holiday is July 2.
