Optimus Prime across the years. The picture includes several versions of Prime, as well as Optimus Primal, from various animated series' and toy lines, from The Original Series to Transformers: Armada.

A discription of the picture from the Japanese Transformers Masterpiece booklet: (Translation from Ben's World of Transformers)

"The picture at right is is an image visual of generations of Optimus from around the world, shown as a group. From the left, we have Transformers: Armada's Optimus in Battle Mode, then below him is Optimal Optimus(Powered Convoy) from Beast Wars. Below him, equipped with the double-barreled cannon, is TransMetal Optimus Primal (Metals Convoy) from the same show, and the small one below TransMetal Optimus is Optimus Minor. Rising high at the top of the image is Super Jinrai (a variant of Optimus Prime) from Super-God Masterforce, midway down with the two warheads on his back is G-2's Optimus Missile Trailer, and below that, holding the scimitar, is Optimus Primal(Beast Convoy - gorilla) from Beast Wars. Right in the center is Optimus Prime(Convoy)(the original) from Transformers: The Original Series, and between his legs can be seen the Machine Wars version. At the original Prime's left shoulder is Beast Wars' Bat version of Optimus Primal(Onyx Primal - Convo-Bat), and to the right of that is Optimus Primal (Convoy - gorilla) as he appeared in Beast Machines. Moving down from him, we find Transformers: Robots in Disguise's Optimus Prime (Super Fire Convoy), then G-2's Optimus Prime (Battle Convoy), then (G-2 GoBot)Optimus Prime. While in the West, all of these characters were treated as Cybertronian warriors designated as the highly honored "Optimus," in Japan many were unconnected characters loosely designated as "Convoy."
