I joined the ranks of Wikipedia users on March 25, 2004.
Interests include science fiction, fantasy and horror; book publishing in all its variant forms; anime and manga; and a veritable host of minor hobbies.
Background: Graduated from Lane Tech High School in 1977. Got a BS in Physics from the University of Illinois, 1981. Worked at photocopier research and design at Xerox from 1981 to 1982. Did optical test bench product design at Tropel from 1982 to 1984. Was a Particle Accellerator Operator in the Main Control Room at Fermilab from 1984 to 1988. Created, owned and operated the science fiction specialty bookstore The Stars Our Destination from 1988 to 2003. Currently putting together a speculative fiction newsletter, to be distributed by web at www.sfbooks.com and by mail for the cost of printing and postage. More on that as it happens.
I have a livejournal at alicebentley, which rarely gets updated.
Currently in Chicago, IL but in the process of moving to the Seattle WA area in July 2004.
I can be reached at alice@sfbooks.com.
