[edit] Low quality picture
Where's the picture taken from? It seems ... low-quality in the background. --Yar Kramer 20:46, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
- I took it in the Lambda Complex transporter room. It was taken while I was zooming in with the crossbow. My Half-Life is pre-high definition pack, and that probably explains the low resolution background. It's legit though. I did take a couple of others on Xen which might suit better. I'll add them to this talk page - come back in a day or so to see what you think (they're on another computer so I can't add them now). Cheers, --Plumbago 08:54, 2 October 2005 (UTC)

- Eh, the hi-def pack (as far as I know) doesn't do much as far as textures themselves. I was just mildly surprised, is all. --Yar Kramer 17:46, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Metal spike brains?
The article states the following:
"In addition to this, the Controllers have disproportionately large heads, which can peel open to reveal a (apparently mechanical) spike or cone."
Well, basically see what I wrote in Nihilanth's talk page. Aren't those things the same amber-like crystals are the specimen used that started the whole mess? It's been a while since I played this game, and the screenshots don't seem the feature the brains. Retodon8 17:51, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Speculation?
From the 2nd paragragh, I see 4 problems:
"...They can also fire an energy ball from their head that is larger, more powerful and has a slight homing ability."
I've played HL since it was released, and never seen a homing energy ball attack from these creatures. Can someone confirm?
"Although these attacks resemble flame, they are actually spheres of electrical energy, like ball lightning."
This seems like baseless speculation. What evidence is there that this is electricity?
"Unlike the Nihilanth, the Controllers have long legs and are able to levitate without the assistance of a mechanical seat."
This implies that the Nihilanth requires the seat to levitate, which again, is pure speculation.
"It is unknown whether this ability stems from their strange magic-like powers, or from their seemingly mechanical parts."
While I dislike the term "magic-like" to describe the abilites of an advanced alien race, I really don't see any "mechanical parts" at all on these creatures.---Jackel 17:13, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
I can confirm the head-ball, the others I don't know -- T-1
I haven't played the game in a while, so don't remember, but I believe an electrical damage icon appears when you get hit with their electric balls.--Name Theft Victim 21:58, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
