Aliotta Haynes Jeremiah

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aliotta-Haynes-Jeremiah was an American rock group from the early 1970s.

This Chicago trio was originally comprised of bassist Mitch Aliotta, drummer Ted Aliotta and guitarist Skip Haynes. Ted left after their debut album to be replaced by John Jeremiah. They scored a popular hit with the single "Lake Shore Drive," an homage to the famed lakefront highway in Chicago, and an allusion to the road's initials LSD.

Well there ain't no road just like it, anywhere I've found,
Runnin' south on Lake Shore Drive, headin' into town.
Just slippin' on by on L.S.D., Friday night and trouble bound.

The album was re-released on compact disc in 1995 for its 25th anniversary.
