Aliaksandr (Sasha) Zhukouski (born 6 October 1979) is an athlete from Belarus. He competes in flatwater canoeing.
His first international success came as a member of the Belarus C-4 four-man canoe team. He won a world championship silver medal in Poznań in 2001 and then bronze in Seville in 2002, both times over 1000m.
At the 2004 Olympics Zhukouski was chosen to represent Belarus in both individual canoe (C-1) events.
He placed fourth in the initial heat of the 500 metres with a time of 1:50.378, qualifying for the semifinals. In the semifinal, he won his heat with a time of 1:50.563, advancing to the finals. There, he placed fourth by coming in just 0.163 seconds after the third place finisher. His final time was 1:47.903.
In the 1,000 metres, Zhukouski again qualified for the semifinals, placing fifth in his heat with a time of 4:02.159. This time, however, he placed fourth in the semis, not qualifying for the finals. His time was 3:55.456.
With a series of fourth and fifth places in major races Zhukouski was in danger of becoming the nearly-man of C-1 but in 2005 he won his first medal as an individual, winning the bronze in the European championships C1 1000m final. Later in the season, at the World Championships he won another bronze medal as part of the Belarus C-4 200m squad - on paper their weakest distance.
In 2006, Zhukouski won a silver medal in the C-4 500m European Championships in Račice, Czech Republic, and then a C-4 1000m bronze medal at the 2006 Flatwater Racing World Championships in Szeged, Hungary.
For the build-up to the 2008 Summer Olympics, Zhukouski will form a C-2 partnership with Dzmitry Rabchanka.
Zhukouski is 183 cm (6'0") tall and weighs 78 kg (172 lbs).
