Ali ibn Babwayh Qummi

Ali ibn Babawayh Qummi (?-939) was a Shi'a scholar from the time of the Ghaybat al-Sughra.

His father wrote a letter to Imam Muhammad al-Mahdi and asked him to pray for him to have a child as he could not have it as doctors had told him. Thus was always called: "Oh you that was born by the prayer of Imam Mahdi!".
