Alfonso Wong, also known as 王澤, Wong Chak and Alphonso Wong, (originally named 王家禧) claims to be the creator of the popular Hong Kong comic strip Old Master Q in 1962, using his eldest son's name "Wong Chak" as a pen-name. Old Master Q has since been made into many movies, animated films, short animated films and other works of fiction.

Wong was born in Tianjin, China. He studied Western art at Beijing Catholic University, and later resided permanently in Hong Kong. He was responsible for drawings in bibles for a French Catholic missionary there, and also the art editing in the Hong Kong Catholic magazine 樂峰報 (樂峯報).

He likes to fish and could draw with both hands. Wong has 6 sons, all of whom have his artistic genes.

Wong has now retired and moved to America in the 1980's.
