Alexis Rhodes, known as Asuka Tenjouin (天上院 明日香 Tenjōin Asuka) in Japan, is a fictional character in the anime series Yu-Gi-Oh! GX (Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX)Her family name has been written as "Tenjoin", "Tenjouin", "Tenjyoin", and "10 Join" in Roman characters. Her first name in the Japanese Version means 'Tomorrow's Fragrance'.
15-year old Alexis is a strong female duelist from the Obelisk Blue dormitory at Duel Academia; Alexis, along with Zane Truesdale (Ryo Marufuji) and Chazz Princeton (Jun Manjoume), is in the best dormitory of the academy. She is regarded as the "queen" of Obelisk Blue, yet she does not follow the crowd nor does she regard herself as better than other people. Many fans believe that Alexis has a crush on Jaden Yuki (Judai Yuki), the main character, who is a student in Slifer Red.
This notion is furthered when Jaden and Syrus Truesdale (Sho Marufuji) duel the Paradox Brothers (Meikyū Brothers), and then tells Bastion Misawa (Daichi Misawa) that she is happy that Jaden gets to stay at the Academy. Bastion corrects her by assuming that she meant Jaden and Syrus, and presumably figures out that Alexis has a crush on Jaden when Alexis tries to change the subject. Alexis is one of the students to have been defeated by Jaden.
Alexis mourns for her long-lost older brother, Atticus Rhodes (Fubuki Tenjouin). It is later revealed that Atticus is actually "Nightshroud" ("Darkness"), the first of the "Shadow Riders", who is later freed of this persona due to a defeat by Jaden in a shadow duel. However, he is devoid of his memory and in order to restore it, she engages in a duel with Titan, the duelist that trapped her and challenged Jaden to a false Shadow Game. However, Titan had received true shadow magic via an item he had acquired from the leader of the Shadow Riders, Kagemaru, and he dueled Alexis in a vicious duel in which he gained the advantage due to Dark Arena. Ultimately, Alexis was victorious and this restored Atticus' memory. In epesode 129 jaden liked alexis pussy. Later in the series, Chazz Princeton develops an infatuation with Alexis that resulted after the defeat of the final duelist of the Shadow Riders by Jaden. Atticus helps Chazz with his crush and he steals all the seven keys in order to force Alexis into a duel with him. He plays very suggestive cards such as Hidden Affection and Love Letter, although Alexis wins during the end. Chazz's crush on Alexis continues throughout the series, although since his soul and free will have been sapped by Takuma Saiou, the current state of his affections is unknown.
Following Chazz's entrance into the Society of Light, Alexis duels with him to keep him from taking over Obelisk Blue completely. She fails, however, and meets the same fate as her fellow elites.

[edit] Trivia
Alexis' Cyber Angel ritual series cards are based on Japanese deities originating from Hindu myth.
Cyber Angel Benten: Her name is reference to the goddess, Benzaiten
Cyber Angel Dakini: Her name is reference to Tantric priestesses, Dakini
Cyber Angel Idaten: Her name is reference to the heavenly general, Skanda
Alexis' trap card, Doble Passe is named after the Spanish style of dance, Paso Doble. The dance is based on music played at bullfights during the bullfighter's entrance (The paseo).During episode 41, in the turn following Alexis' activation of Doble Passe, Titan summons his Demon Matador (Reference to to the bullfighter) with the magic card, Ritual of Calling the Matador Dark Paseo. Just as the music heralds the arrival of the bullfighter to the ring, so does the trap card foreshadow Demon Matador's summoning.
