Alex C. La Pointe currently teaches Geology, Physcal Science, and Life Science at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, Orange County, California.

Born on December 30th, 1973 in Houghton, Michigan. Mr. La Pointe received his Bachelors of Science degree in Geology from the College of Engineering at Michigan Technological University in Houghton Michigan in 2000. After working for the National Park Service at Oregon Caves National Monument, Mr. La Pointe began his teaching career in Billings, Montana teaching Earth Science in 2001. He has been living and teaching in Huntington Beach, California since 2002. Mr. La Pointe is a member of The National Science Foundation, The Geological Society of America, The National Geographic Society, and The National Science Teachers Association.
