[edit] Cleanup
Going through the Arbuthnot family one by one, cleaning up etc. Non-notable information removed:
- son of Robert Arbuthnot.
- Married in Kildare, Ireland, 1827, Catherine Mary Eustace (born Dublin, aged 76 in 1881), daughter of Rev Charles Eustace, a descendant of the Viscounts Baltinglass).
- Had issue.
I have a number of questions about his decorations:
What is the Turkish Medijdie?-- got it, spelling is Medjidie. What is the "Russian Saint George"? Should the be Russian Order of Saint George, or something?Yes, must be Russian Order of St. George.- He is stated as "knighted" in 1859, but when you are knighted, don't you join an order? Is it one of the ones already listed, or another one?

==This article has a problem!== Apparently this article conflates two different Alexander Dundas Young Arbuthnotts -- I think. In the article BODY, his dates are given as 1789 to 1871, which fits with the one solid piece of biographical info provided, that he served at Trafalgar. BUT... Someone categorized him as am 1885 birth, 1957 death, and the dates of his DSO and KCB are given as 1919 and 1942, respectively. Which describes a whole nother person. I will tag this until I track this down. In the meantime, I changed his Category dates to match those given in the article, which makes his DSO and KCB posthumous, which I so noted. Although I THINK they belong to a different person. I will tag this and track it down IF POSSIBLE, otherwise I will leave as is. Herostratus 04:02, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
- Ok, the later dates, legion of honor, order of the bath, and DSO belonged to Geoffrey Schomberg Arbuthnot, it appears. Removed.
- Some issues unrelated to that remain. He is stated as "knighted" in 1859, but the order and rank is not given, as it is for other Arbuthnot, which makes verification harder. Also need to track down more info on the foreign honors and link them. Herostratus 17:41, 21 December 2005 (UTC)
