Greetings, thanks to all who have provided helpful feedback to an admitted newbie. I've made a concerted effort to create a profile of Alert Logic -- as opposed to an advertisement. I've put an emphasis information about the context of the problems that Alert Logic addresses (Trojans, botnets, worms and other security threats) than marketing information about products and services.

Unfortunately, network security threats are a growing criminal problem that is not being adequately addressed by many businesses. Fortunately, Wikipedia has quite a bit of information about network security threats, and I've created internal links to all relevant topics.

It would be really helpful if someone who thinks that this profile reads "like an advertisement" and who has the time and inclination to be a bit more specific about what that means. I have no intention of creating an advertisement for the company. On the other hand, since Alert Logic is a national player in the security space and confronts issues that are highly relevant to virtually anyone who has ever entered their confidential information into an online database, I believe it deserves a discription on Wikipedia.

Thanks! Tallik 14:42, 20 November 2006 (UTC) I received some good feedback and "neutralized" this profile, trying to be as objective and non-promotional as I could. Comments?
