Alexey Okladnikov

Alexey Pavlovich Okladnikov (Russian: Алексе́й Па́влович Окла́дников) (19081981), was an archaeologist, historian, and ethnographer, member of the USSR Academy of Sciences since 1968, a Hero of Socialist Labor (1978). His works include research on ancient history of Siberia, Far East, Mongolia, and Middle East.

In 1938-1961 Alexey Okladnikov worked in the Leningrad division of the Archeology Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences. In 1961 he was transferred to the Siberian division of the Economics Institute. In 1962 he was transferred to the Novosibirsk University.
