Alexei Kaigorodov (Russian: Алексей Кайгородов, Alexey Kajgorodov) (born July 29, 1983 in Chelyabinsk, U.S.S.R.) is a Russian professional ice hockey player. He was considered a top prospect for the Ottawa Senators, but his career with the team is assumed to be over.
While playing in Russia, Kaigorodov oftened centred a line with Evgeni Malkin.
On August 24, 2006, Kaigorodov's contract was voluntarily suspended by Metallurg Magnitogorsk, allowing him to pursue an NHL contract. Soon after, he signed a two-year contract with the Senators.
On November 4, 2006, he was suspended by the Ottawa Senators for refusing an assignment to the AHL. He is reportedly returning to Russia.
