Alexei Harlamov

Alexei Alexeievich Harlamoff (A.K.A Alexej Harlamoff - Alexej Charlamoff) (1842-1922) was a Russian painter. He attended the Academy of the Fine Arts in Saint Petersburg and admired and copied the work of Rembrandt. He painted many portraits of the Russian aristocracy. Harlamoff left his native Russia to move to Paris, France and begin a career in painting.

Alexei Harlamloff is best remembered for his portraits of children and young girls. He regularly exhibited at the Paris Salon and won a second-class medal at the 1878 Paris Universal Exhibition.
