Alexandria Museum of Art

The Alexandria Museum of Art in central Louisiana, USA was founded in 1977. It subsequently was expanded and reopened to the public in 1998. The Museum is best known for its extensive permanent collection of contemporary Louisiana art and houses the state's largest collection of North Louisiana Folk Art.
