Alexandria is a borough in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 401 at the 2000 census.

Alexandria is located at 40°33′28″N, 78°5′56″W (40.557824, -78.098942)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 401 people, 149 households, and 106 families residing in the borough. The population density was 1,407.5/km² (3,503.4/mi²). There were 160 housing units at an average density of 561.6/km² (1,397.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough was 96.76% White, 1.50% Asian, 1.00% Pacific Islander, 0.75% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.00% of the population.

There were 149 households out of which 36.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.0% were married couples living together, 16.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.2% were non-families. 25.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.58 and the average family size was 3.00.

In the borough the population was spread out with 26.2% under the age of 18, 8.0% from 18 to 24, 27.9% from 25 to 44, 22.4% from 45 to 64, and 15.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 91.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 86.2 males.

The median income for a household in the borough was $40,662, and the median income for a family was $43,750. Males had a median income of $30,750 versus $23,500 for females. The per capita income for the borough was $15,423. About 4.6% of families and 7.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 6.8% of those under age 18 and 5.4% of those age 65 or over.
