Alexandras Avenue

The Alexandras Avenue (Greek: Λεωφορος Αλεξάνδρας Leoforos Alexandras) is an avenue linking 28 Oktovriou Street and Kifissias Avenue as well as Vasileias Sofias Avenue and Mesogeiou Avenue via Fipiddou Street in the northern part of the city of Athens. The Avenue has three lanes with a bus lane on the right. Its total length is approximately 3 km.

Major streets that junctions with this avenue includes Mavrommatis, Spyrou Trikoupi, Valtinon, Voulgaroktonou, Charilaou Trikoupi, Ippokratos, Gkyzi, Koniari, Panormou and D. Soutsou Streets. The avenue features Egiptos Square, the forested Argentinis Dimokratias Square (meaning Argentine Republic) near the Argentine embassy. The Panathanaikos stadium named Apostolos Nikolaidis lies to the south side near Panormou Street and other buildings like the Cancer General Hospital. The Pedios Areos lies north in the west end of the avenue.

Between 2000 and 2004, the eastern end of the avenue was renovated to reconstruct and remodel the intersection with southbound traffic from Mesogeiou redirecting to this and Vasileias Sofias Avenue. Fipiddos Avenue westbound from the Athens Children's Hospital became cut off and was reopened by the time the Summer Olympics start.
