[edit] Biography

Alexander was a Hungarian warlord who lived in the early fifth century. He ascended to power just in time to watch his village ravaged by an unknown plague. Alexander was the only survivor of the plague. His body had adapted to the virus to his benefit, thus making him the first true immortal.

Years later, with his wife Helena, he fathered three children, two of which inherited the immortal strain: Marcus and William. Marcus was bitten by a bat and became the first vampire. William was bitten by a wolf and became the first Lycan. William's highly infectious plague swept through Hungary, also due to the fact that William was unable to change back into human form. Because he remained in Lycan form, Marcus was forced to repel his beloved twin brother's rampage by forming the Death Dealers. Thus, the war between Vampire and Lycan started, and Alexander was forced to keep the war contained and from ever spilling into the mortal realm. He hired mortal men to "clean up" after the battles and quarrels between the Lycans and Vampires. Helena died shortly afterwards, leading Alexander to grieve and scorn his immortality. Alexander supposedly has contempt for any immortal, calling them 'oddities of nature'.

The Cleaners, led by Alexander, who was now acting under the alias of Lorenz Macaro, operated from the ship Sancta Helena. Lorenz Macaro's office was furnished with an angel's statue supposedly representing Helena. Lorenz Macaro extracted a half of William's dungeon key from Viktor's flesh, and later met Selene and his descendant, Michael Corvin. Marcus confronted his father shortly afterwards, and used a wing talon and a nearby sword to injure Alexander gravely. Marcus then retrieved the half of the key from his dying father's hand. According to Selene, Alexander could have confronted Marcus, but refused because he would not harm his son.

As Alexander lay dying, he told Selene to drink some of his pure immortal blood. Afterward, he told her she would become "the future". He self-destructed the Sancta Helena shortly after, taking himself along with it.
