[edit] Career
[edit] Manchester United
He was a highly-rated youth player at Manchester United and featured for the Scotland U-21 side [2]. However, he failed to break into the first team (due to the prescence of Ole Gunnar Solskjær, Dwight Yorke, Andy Cole and Teddy Sheringham) and he had loan spells at Aberdeen F.C. and Sheffield United [3].
[edit] Norwich City
Alex signed for Norwich City for a fee of £250,000 on 28th November 2000, making his debut a few days later [4]. He damaged ankle ligaments in late 2002 during an East Anglian Derby match at Portman Road and, after failing to fully recover, retired from the professional game in 2003.
[edit] King's Lynn
Notman signed for non-league King's Lynn in January 2004 [5].
