Alessandro Bianchi

Alessandro Bianchi (born 28 January 1945 in Rome) is the current Italian Minister of Transportation.
A registered member of the Italian Communist Party until its disbandment, Bianchi is the rector of the University of Reggio Calabria and a city planning teacher. He is part of the cabinet of Romano Prodi since May 17, 2006; his name was chosen by a list of prominent left-wing independent people proposed by the Party of Italian Communists.
