Aleshenka

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aleshenka (Russian: Алёшенька, Alyoshenka, a hypocoristic for a Russian male first name Alexei) was a small creature found in a village Kaolinovy located near a town Kyshtym in a Russian province Chelyabinsk in August, 1996. Aleshenka was found by an old woman Tamara Prosvirina (Tamara Vasilievna Prosvirina) who was mentally ill. The creature had an unusual appearance as it resembled an alien rather than any animal found on earth. This gave rise to rumors about its extraterrestiral origin. Local population readily supported this rumor, collecting easy money from reporters for interviews. At least two Japanese companies (Asahi TV and MTV Japan) made documentaries about the creature. Genetic experts claimed that it was a pre-mature female human child resulting from radioactive pollution. Genetic experts’ claim is supported by the presence of nuclear reactors nearby Kaolinovy.

[edit] Aleshenka's physical appearance

Aleshenka’s physical appearance was not like an ordinary animal or any reptile. Aleshenka was a grey-coloured tiny creature about twenty-five centimeters in length. It had a number of dark spots on the head which made him look like an onion. On the head there were no hairs. The catlike eyes of creature were big and occupied most of his face. It breathed with the help of a small nose below the eyes. He couldn’t convey his thoughts, as he didn’t have lips, although he could intake food.

[edit] Later incidents

A few days later a psychiatric hospital took Tamara for treatment as they perceived her as an insane woman. Aleshenka's corpse (When and why Alyoshenka died remains unknown) was passed on to local militsiya (police) by a neighbour. Tamara Prosvirina was killed in 1999 in an accident with a truck in an attempt to escape the hospital.[1]

[edit] Investigation

A very little is known about what happened to Aleshenka’s remains. The description of his death and appearance is a subject to great variation. A local ufologist claimed that a UFO inhabited by his comrades took it along. Skeptics hold that it was bought by a wealthy collector of curiosities. A doctor from the local hospital who had allegedly seen the corpse claimed that it corresonded to a normal 20-25 week human foetus prematurely born. It could have lived for several hours, but not several weeks, contrary to the tales of the mentally weak old woman. [2]

According to genetic experts: DNA analysis of the clothes he was wrapped in at the Moscow Vavilov Institute of General Genetics revealed that he wasn’t an alien. On April 15, 2004 the scientists made an official statement, "The analysis of the blood spots on the fabric detected DNA of a human being. We proved that Kyshtym creature was a prematurely born female baby with many deviations".[3]
