Alemayehu Eshete

Alemayehu Eshete (also written Alèmayèhu Eshèté ) is an Ethiopian Ethio-jazz singer active since the 1960s. He primarily sings in Amharic, though he had one song in English called "Honey Baby". His nickname is Teddy Afro and he tells about this epithet in his song "Tchero Adari Nègn".
There is an entire volume (number 9) devoted to his music on Ethiopiques.
