Aleksander Kotsis (born 1836 Krakowa and died 1877 in Podgórze) was a Polish painter renowned for his landscapes, portraits and genre depictions of contemporary village scenes.

In 1850 the attended the Krakowa college of Fine art where he studies under the direction of Wojciech Stattler.
