Aleksandar Aleksandrov

Aleksandar Aleksandrov (Bulgarian: Александър Александров) (born January 19, 1975 in Plovdiv) is a Bulgarian soccer player, playing as an attacking midfielder. He is well-known localy for his technique and creativity, which often provides memorable moments for the supporters. When playing against Juventus in the UEFA Cup in 1999, he is said to have impressed the italian specialists with his performance.

Aleksandar Aleksandrov begins his career in his hometown of Plovdiv in the Maritza and plays there until 1997. Then his career leads him to Sofia, as Levski Sofia are interested in him and buy him. He entertains "The Blues" fans for four years, until the Turkish team Kocaelispor lure him from Levski. After two short years in Kocaelispor, he changes teams and moves to Istanbulspor AS, where he's playing until now.

Although not famous around the world, his career is marked by a few trophies. The first one is just after his arrival in Levski, in 1998 when "The Blues" win Bulgarian Cup. That trophy is followed by a double in 2000, when Levski not only win the Bulgarian Championship, but the Bulgarian Cup as well. Meanwhile, he has won "The Best Bulgarian Footballer" award in 1999. After his move to Kocaelispor the trophies continue to follow him, as his team wins the Turkish Cup in 2002.
