I am an artist and mentor at the Spindleworks Artist Cooperative in Brunswick, Maine. I graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I studied experimental music and video art. My audio work is based on musical improvisation and concrete music. It includes the use of prepared piano, found objects, circuit bending, extended technique, and the incorporation of shapenote singing and traditional vocal music of Appalachia. I also work two-dimensionally in collage and mixed media.
