[edit] Neotraditionalism
Hi there. I see you started the article at Neotraditionalism. Now I looked things up on Google, and I don't see much corroboration of neotraditionalism as a significant movement. In fact, the search seemed to turn up mostly references to a style of urban planning. So I'm not quite certain right now that the article you created meets Wikipedia standards - and almost certainly doesn't merit a place in the Conservatism template. Anything I'm missing here? -Joshuapaquin 07:02, 17 December 2005 (UTC)
Neotraditionalism perse is far from being a structured political movement, but its values are widely shared by sectors of the population, especially in Southern US. Now, it is true that not much literature has been written about the subject, because many intellectuals decide that neotraditionalism is part of paleoconservatism. So, if you think that it doesn't merit a place in the Conservative Template, you're free to say so, but I disagree. If you want to merge different movements under one name (paleoconservatism), go ahead, but you will be cutting out the voice of many.
- Look, if there's reputable evidence of "neotraditionalism" as a meaningful term in the field - whether by academics or laymen - please point me to it! I'm a reasonable guy. The trouble for me is that, from what I've seen, there's no more evidence of the existence of this movement than there would be if I just made it up in writing the article. -Joshuapaquin 20:20, 17 December 2005 (UTC)
- Ok, I see what you're saying. I myself googled the term and almost all results were about neotraditionalist architecture or country music. However, I have grown up listening to this term and, at least down here in Texas, it is used by laymen. So, as far as I know, it is a real thing, maybe y'all don't hear it much up there in Canada, but we sure do Down South.

- What I've done for now is remove the link from the Conservatism template, but I won't be putting neotraditionalism up for an AfD or anything. -Joshuapaquin 02:55, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
