Talk:Alberta Advantage

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It's nonsense to say that fast food restaurants are paying more than $10/hr. There may be a few places, such as Fort Mcmurray, where such wages can be had, but this is far from the normal state of affairs. It is true that there are few jobs paying the minimum wage, but they do exist, particularly in the human services sector (day care workers, for instance). I know this to be true - I'm an employment counsellor, and see dozens of jobs cross my desk every day. Denni 01:17, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

I removed the reference to exchange rates when comparing US and Canadian GDP. Canada and the US have different currencies so an exchange rate is implied. I've also removed the reference to Albertan servers receiving tips on par with those earned in the United States. What does this mean?
