Albert D. Cohen

Albert Diamond Cohen (born 1914) is a Canadian businessman who is the Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Gendis Incorporated, a Canadian company which had a 51% stake in Sony of Canada and once owned SAAN (Surplus Army, Airforce, Navy) Stores Limited.
Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the son of Alexander and Bereka (Diamond) Cohen, he served with the Royal Canadian Navy from 1942 to 1945.
He is the author of the book The Entrepreneurs: The Story of Gendis Inc. and The Triangle of Success: The Gendis/Saan Story
In 1983, he was made a Member of the Order of Canada and was promoted to Officer in 1994.
The Albert D. Cohen Management Library at the University of Manitoba is named in his honour.
