Al Horford was born June 3, 1986. He is a starting forward for the 2006 men's Florida Gators basketball team, which won the 2006 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament on April 3, 2006, as well as the 2006 SEC Tournament. He is projected by ESPN.com's Chad Ford to be a lottery pick in the 2006 NBA Draft if he intends to enter the draft.[1] However, Horford, along with teammates Joakim Noah and Corey Brewer have announced at the championship pep rally that they will indeed be returning for their junior season.[2]
