The Al Haramain Foundation is an Islamic charity. In 1997, an unnamed informant told the CIA that the group intended to blow up the American embassy in Kenya. The CIA performed a full investigation into the group, but found no evidence of a bomb plot. After the 1998 United States embassy bombings, in which the kenyan embassy was targeted, another investigation was performed, with the same result. However, the organisation has been linked possitively to Ossama Bin Laden, who ordered the attacks.
