[edit] Lake Tozawa

Regarding the sentence "Near Lake Tozawa, there are a number of hot springs resorts (onsen), these are popular with tourists from all over Japan.": I can't recall a Lake Tozawa, and wonder whether it's a cross between Towada and Tazawa (Towada is a big lake on the Akita-Aomori boundary; the much-smaller Tazawa is farther south, near Kakunodate, if memory serves). If I'm wrong, ignore me! May 9, 2004

 There is a current lack of tourist information from official sources.  Eg. the JNTO site doesn't even list Akita!  If you are in the position to do so, please complain to relevant authorities about this!
