Sounds so amazing it does need to be kept online. It needs amendment and cleaning-up though- the guy has been accused of things that he has not been charged with; and it appears he is just someone with obsessive-compulsive disorder and personality issues that schoolboys have- in typical schoolboy style- interpreted as paedophilia and homosexuality.

Good god. I thought this was a hoax, but no, the external link checks out. DS 23:36, 6 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I'm so ammused that someone has taken the time and effort to put this page togther. Purple Aki, is an important part of Scouse Mythology. This page should stay.

[edit] Needs research to find correct crime

Sorry, I have to remove tags. Not exact crime as tagged. Wish I had more time to research this case and apply correct tag. I hope someone else will do the research.--FloNight 20:21, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

The article at the moment is very confusing. It labels Arobieke as a sex offender, but he was convicted of no sex crime. It says he was convicted of sexual harassment (he wasn't) of hundreds, and then in the next sentence says he was convicted on only 15 counts of harassment and one count of intimidation. 80.93.170.99 12:27, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Name

I think this article should be called Akinwale Arobieke and leave this page as a redirect. Comments?Obina 14:05, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Why is this page marked for deletion? He is a real person well known throughout Merseyside.

[edit] purple aki

this man is a sexual preditor who terrorised young boys in birkenhead for years. The rumour about 'purple aki'chasing a young boy which ultimately led to his death is true. the boy was 15 years of age and had been harrassed by 'purple aki' for months. the boy eas on a day out with friends in new brighton when purple aki turned up the boy was so terrified he ran to the train station where he had intended to hide from 'purple aki' he didnt jump or fall and he wasnt pushed he hid at the side of the train. not realising that the track was live. purple aki didnt not kill him but he instilled a fear into the boy that ultimately resulted in his death the name'purple aki' puts fear into boys all over the the north west its about time he should pay for what he has done.

I know - I live in New Brighton. But if you can find a reliable source for this, you're a better man than I am! And better than the Police, given that Aki was never convicted (I don't know that he was even charged) of killing Gary Kelly. The only references online mentioning Gary Kelly's death are people relating the story of Purple Aki in forums. 80.93.170.99 09:41, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
