Akira Psycho Ball (アキラ・サイコ・ボール) is a 2002 digital pinball based on the popular 1988 Akira anime directed by Katsuhiro Otomo. It features original theme song and storyline. Whe the player do succeeds things, like getting and extra ball, or clearing a stage a short footage taken from the movie are displayed on screen.
The Akira movie is popular worldwide, and the game came out on the Japanese market to coincide with the release of the new remastered DVD Japanese edition.
In 2003 the game was translated and published in Europe by Infogrames.

The pinball is made of four stages inspired by the movie, like the Neo Tokyo battlefield, the "A-room", the "Olympic Stadium" and the "Laboratory" transform fields.
