Akashi Shiganosuke (明石 志賀之助) is said to have been the first sumo wrestler to hold the title of yokozuna. His historical existence is disputed[name a specific person/group]. He is said[name a specific person/group] to have come from Utsunomiya in central Japan, and to have been 2.3 meters tall.
