[edit] History of Jews in Persia
I don't know what you are doing with this article, but generally we do not create new articles by copying wholesale other articles. For one thing, you lose the edit history that way. I have moved the article into your user space (User:Ajooz/History of Jews in Persia) as a work in progress. Hu 13:00, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
If you look carefully I wasn't copying the whole article, but only the history section. This part was getting too long, so I thought I start a new article on it. So could you please move it back? Ajooz 00:28, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
My apologies. I seem to have missed the purpose. I've initiated the request and it should happen soon. When the redirect is deleted, then you or I can copy the text into a new article there. I recommend doing it this way instead of a move-back, because as it turns out, nobody has made any edits to it other than my moves, and if you or I just copy the text out of an edit window into a new article when the name is freed up, then it will not have my ugly moves in the edit history. If I happen to be the one doing the re-creation, I'll make it abundantly clear in the edit summary that you are really the original author and that it is from just a section, as a breakout of a long article. Sorry about this. Hu 12:42, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
The redirect has been deleted kindly by User:Tom harrison. I have created the new article History of Jews in Persia for you, with this edit summary: "Article created by Ajooz from material from Persian Jews article". I suggest you write a brief note in its Discussion (Talk) page explaining your purpose, which I assume is to breakout the history into its own article to reduce the length of the main Persian Jews article. If such an explanation had been available, I wouldn't have moved the article in the first place. I apologize to all for the inconvenience I have made. Hu 15:59, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
