Ajmeria

Ajmeria (Hindi: अजमेरिया) or Ajmeedia or Ajmidhia (Hindi: अजमीढिया) is Gotra of Jats found in India. Samrat Bharat was a chandravansi King of India. Raja Ajmidha was born in sixth generation of Maharaja Bharat. India gets its name Bharat from Maharaja Bharat. Maharaja Bharat had three sons namely Riksha, Kanva and Nila. The descendants of the youngest son Nila were known as Ajmidhia or Ajmeria after Ajmidha. [1]

According to another version these were the people who came from area around Ajmer city in Rajasthan and settled at various places. These were known as Ajmeria.[2]
