Ajlun Governorate

Ajlun (alternative spelling Ajloun) (Arabic: عجلون) is one of the governorates of Jordan, located north of Amman the capital of Jordan. Its capital is Ajlun.

Ajlun is famous with its castle, which was build by the Arabs to protect ajlun from invaders to protect Ajlun strategic geography from the crusaders as well it was used after the crusades it is used as a home to support the familys of ajlun.

Ajlun is known for its high elevation, which makes it the coolest city in Jordan, with average maximum temperature during January 8.2, and minimum average temperature 2.8. Snow is a common type of precipitation in the winter, due to that Ajlon city is will prepared to face winter.
