Category talk:Aircraft manufacturers of Italy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
i believe there is a manufacturer called Tecnam Founded in Italy and has moved on to New Zealand and Australia since, the Tecnam P2002 Siera is probably their most successful aircraft, i am currently learning to fly on one and i am aware that almost everyone at my flyingschool (Basair australia Bankstown) chooses the tecnam over the traditional cessna 152 it is however much lighter and is sold also as an ultralight. they are not as sturdy as the cessna 152 but are much cheaper, (except where i am learning due to the premium on the Tecnam, they have infact considerably lowered the price of learning on the Cessna 152 in order to encourage more variet) it could probably do with a bit of verification and editing but i'm pretty sure this info is reliable
Additional Note
Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecnam are still based in Naples, Italy and export worldwide including Australia and New Zealand. Over 2000 aircraft have been delivered worldwide. Basair are equipped with GA Certified P2002 JF aircraft. Each of the six aircraft have in excess of 600 hrs in service over the nine months since delivery.
