The Airport Station on the Boston subway's Blue Line provides a mass transit connection to Logan International Airport (BOS). Massport provides complimentary shuttle bus service between the Airport Station and the airline terminals at the arrival levels. Shuttle bus service operates seven days per week. All shuttle buses are wheelchair lift equipped.

The new station features wider escalators and elevators to accommodate travelers with luggage, turnstiles with adjacent luggage slides and monitors with flight information. It is also compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and has longer platforms to accommodate six-car train sets. The new facility is decorated with porcelain enamel panels depicting historic local images. The platforms are laid out with two tracks in the center and platforms on either side, connected by two overhead walkways connecting them, accessible by escalator and elevator.

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority began construction on the $23 million project in April 2000. The new station, located approximately 500 feet east of the old station, opened June 3, 2004. The station is also the point where trains switch from overhead catenary power to third rail power, and vice versa.
