[edit] Australia

In Australia, Prison Break airs on the Seven Network at 8:30pm Wednesday nights. The show premiered on February 1, 2006 with the first two episodes airing back-to-back. These episodes were encored on February 6, 2006. Episodes that achieve a lower-than-usual audience (such as "The Old Head", which aired against the 2006 Commonwealth Games on the Nine Network) are often repeated in a late timeslot the following Tuesday night. Similarly, the episode "Brother's Keeper" aired on May 31, 2006 in New South Wales and Queensland rather than May 24, 2006 (the airdate for all other Australian states and territories), due to the airing of the State of Origin on the Nine Network, Seven Network's rival TV network. This action is also being repeated for the season finale, "Flight", which instead of airing on July 5 aired on July 12, but this time in all states.

Replays of Prison Break screen on pay television station, FOX8 on Thursday nights.

[edit] Canada

In Canada, the original English version of the show runs on the same schedule as in the United States, via Global TV's simulcast. In Quebec, TVA has bought the rights of the French version of Prison Break (called La grande évasion), has started airing it with the first two episodes back-to-back on 13 April 2006 at 8:00pm and continued to air it on Thursdays at 9:00pm.

Season one repeats air on Mystery.

[edit] Republic of Ireland

In the Republic of Ireland, RTÉ Two premiered Prison Break very relatively late compared to other broadcasters, on June 20, 2006, primarily due to its slot at 10 PM on Tuesday nights, which was previously allocated for the second season of Desperate Housewives. RTÉ managed a huge campaign of advertising for this acquisition, with the show's star Wentworth Miller being brought in to be part of the advertising campaign. The first three episode were shown individually, but from "Cute Poison" onwards, RTÉ Two showed the rest of the series in double bills.

In October 2006, cable station Channel 6 began showing the first season on Thursday nights at 9 pm. It is preceded by American Dad and is usually followed by a film.

It airs Mondays at 10:00p.m.

[edit] United Kingdom

In the UK, Five holds the rights to air the show. The first episode was broadcast at 10pm on 23 January 2006. A poster and TV-trailer advertising campaign has accompanied this development. The episodes "End of the Tunnel" and "Flight", have both ended with a short in-character introduction by Wentworth Miller. From 29 May 2006, Five showed the remaining four episodes as a double bill on each Monday night, finishing the series on 5 June 2006. Season 2 will start January 2007 on Five.
