Air Maxi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Air Maxi was an unsuccessful project aimed at creating the first low-cost airline in Serbia during Summer of 2005. The company was to be the product of cooperation between Delta Holding and Aviogenex. It was supposed to be based in Belgrade with two leased 737-300s operated and maintained by Aviogenex staff. In the end, Delta Holding withdrew from the project and the company never saw the light of day.

However, in July 2006, Air Maxi's CEO Predrag Vujović founded Centavia, a company that for a while functioned as the Serbia's first low cost carrier before declaring bankruptcy and ceasing operation in November 2006.
