Air Freight NZ

Air Freight NZ is New Zealand's second largest cargo airline; based in Palmerston North. It operates regular night freight services on behalf of the Freightways Express group of companies. Its main base is Auckland International Airport, with hubs at Christchurch International Airport and Palmerston North International Airport.

The airline was established and started operations in 1985, headed by Peter Vincent. Its primary contract was the courier division of New Zealand Railways. It is now wholly owned by Freightways Express.

- 3 October 2003: Air Freight NZ Convair 580, ZK-KFU, was lost off radar near the Kapiti Coast. Fatalities: 2
- 31 July 1989: Air Freight NZ Convair 580, ZK-FTB, descended shortly after takeoff from Auckland International Airport, colliding with a bank before crashing into Manakau Harbour. Fatalities: 3
